Over the weekend, the KUNST researcher department determined that fufu and fish soup cause cancer, keeping the entire Ghana country awake.
Ghanaians, notably Ashantis and some Fantis, have long loved fufu.
This problem was discovered after some Knust volunteers gathered random samples of fufu from nearby chop shops and restaurants for testing and research purposes.
Following their research, they discovered the following:
We discovered a cancer-causing ingredient in the fufu soup. Smoked salmon was employed in the soup's preparation. A fish becomes pyrenised when it is smoked, charred, or burned.
This is due to the fish's exposure to Benzo(a) Pyrene-containing metals.
One of the leaders of the research team disclosed this to one of the joynews interviewers. About how this fried rice causes cancer, she had this to say:
"Continuous stirring in a hot pan contaminates the rice with metallic Benzo(a)pyrene." Sometimes the ladle used in stirring fried rice is even metal, "the researcher added.
